Thank you for inquiring about our rates and services in reference to sales, installations, repair and maintenance of all your coffee brewing and grinding equipment and water filtration systems. The following is our rate sheet for servicing espresso/coffee brewing and water filtration equipment in the State of New Jersey.
Espresso & Coffee Brewer, Coffee Grinder and Water Filtration System Service:
- Equipment Installations --- $165.00 per hour working 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday. This includes brewing equipment, grinder, and water filtration installs provided all construction (countertops, plumbing, electrical) is completed and ready to go according to Cafe Techs NJ, CG Enterprises/Manufacturer spec sheets. Additional fees will be added for any missing and necessary items to complete install (ie: missing water/drain hoses, plumbing fittings, extension cords, etc). Travel time charge of $75.00/hour to/from Brick, state and local sales taxes will be billed in addition.
Installation site preparation ----
All plumbing for equipment must be fabricated, tested and operational up to local code and according to our requirements for installation by a licensed plumber. If any of those items are missing or if site is incomplete, charges will be billed for additional work performed and/or additional visits. Any additional plumbing work outside of Cafe Techs NJ, CG Enterprises/Manufacturer spec sheets performed by CG Enterprises is not licensed. WE ARE NOT LICENSED PLUMBERS.
All electrical for equipment must be fabricated, tested and operational up to local code and according to our requirements for installation by a licensed electrician. If any of those items are missing or if site is incomplete, charges will be billed for additional work performed and/or additional visits. Any additional electrical work outside of Cafe Techs NJ, CG Enterprises/Manufacturer spec sheets performed by CG Enterprises is not licensed. WE ARE NOT LICENSED ELECTRICIANS.
Installation includes --- Water filtration plumbing. (Limited to basic pre-filter/filter combinations/RO Systems. Does not include the cost of filter cartridges or filter heads) --- Equipment calibration and basic use/cleaning training (Does not include barista training) --- Grinder installation and basic calibration.
- Live Site Survey/Consultation --- $250.00 per visit plus state and local sales tax (includes traveling time up to an hour) --- This includes testing water quality, electrical outlet(s), and check plumbing fittings --- Communication with contractors and consultation.
- Service Calls (non-contract) --- $165.00 per hour working 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday. A service call is defined as an "unknown or unexpected issue or occurrence" taking place with coffee brewing equipment, grinders, or water filtration, that needs attention or needs to be fixed/remedied ASAP. A service call will be scheduled and take place at the first possible opportunity (although priority consideration will be given) and is not considered an emergency service. Parts are not included in this rate and are in addition. Travel time charge of $75.00/hour to/from Brick, State and local sales taxes will be billed in addition.
- Preventative Maintenance (contract only) --- preventive maintenance calls are performed 4x's per year (quarterly) as per signed yearly contract (plus parts & NJ sales tax) working 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday. Preventative Maintenance (PM) is performed quarterly and includes gasket changes, system/safety checks, grinder cleanings, water treatment check ups and/or any manufacturer suggested routine scheduled maintenance. "PM's" do not include parts or any repairs to equipment. Any repair requests will then be considered a "Service Call" and will then be charged at the $125.00 per hour rate. Again, parts not included and will be charged in addition.
- Emergency Service Requests ---- $300.00 for the for the initial call (ie: to walk in the door) and then $250.00 per hour afterward plus travel time and state and local sales taxes (parts not included and will be charged in addition). An emergency service request is any request for immediate/priority service or service that happens outside of normal operating hours, 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday (ie: after hours or on weekends). Emergency service is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week as long a technician is available. In the event a technician is not available, that service will be scheduled as soon as we can send a technician out. EMERGENCY SERVICE CALLS ARE SOLELY FOR EQUIPMENT THAT IS 100% NON OPERATIONAL. IF THE EQUIPMENT IS PARTIALLY OPERATIONAL OR NOT OPERATIONAL DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OF THE EQUIPMENT (ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, USER ERROR, ETC.) AND CANNOT BE REPAIRED DUE TO THESE OUTSIDE CIRCUMSTANCES....YOU WILL STILL BE INVOICED FOR THE CALL AND RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING VISIT.
- Travel time ---- this covers the cost of fuel, tolls, running costs and labor time during travel. It is calculated from the time a technician leaves our location or from a previous service call with over 60 minutes total of travel, and/or tolls are incurred to travel to the location. Traveling time can also be billed for return trips from a location if a service call is made solely for that customer. Travel time will be added to all invoices for any service outside of a 60 minutes time radius from Brick, NJ at the rate of $75.00 per hour.
- Parking/Garage and Bridges/Tolls fees will also be added to invoices if incurred.
Water Filtration - We have found the majority of water situations in New Jersey to be problematic and charcoal filters to be insufficient. We highly suggest you download the American Water report for your area and allow us to professionally test your water (either via a live on-location site survey or for free id you ship your water sample to us). We can then compare my results to the official water report. The results are usually very close. Cafe Techs NJ will then present you with at least 3 options of basic, better, or best scenarios with regard to water filtration and let you decide what option works best for your situation. We have found water filtration options can range anywhere from $800.00 (combo sediment & 2-3 stage systems - $16,000.00 (reverse osmosis systems) depending on test results. Basically the better system you install up front will (1) make your coffee taste even more outstanding and (2) save on equipment repair bills in the long-term.
Payments, Fees and Refunds:
- Payment is due at completion of any and all service.
- A New Customer and Credit Card form will be required before service.
- We accept cash, checks and major credit cards. All checks are to be made payable to CHARLES GIANAKOS ENTERPRISES LLC. Only checks on local banks or institutions will be accepted. Any returned checks will incur a $40 bank charge and will be due immediately.
- Refunds --- There are no refunds on any parts, equipment or services performed. If there is a manufacturer defect or issue with service performed, please see warranty guidelines.
- There are NO REFUNDS on any and all preventative maintenance plans.
- Parts and Equipment --- All pricing on parts and equipment are on a case by case basis. Please inquire for pricing on specific parts or equipment. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
- Warranty --- All work performed is covered by a 30 calendar day part and labor warranty. Warranty will not be honored if issue was caused by: improper water filtration, outside circumstances causing equipment malfunction (electrical, plumbing, user error, etc)., or customer negligence. Warranty work must be approved by a technician before being performed. • Warranty on new parts or equipment is covered by the manufacturer as per their warranty terms and conditions. We will work directly with the manufacturer to solve any warranty issues. We DO NOT cover the cost of return shipping or any re-stocking fees that may apply. Warranty does not apply to consumable parts. Used or refurbished parts are covered by a 90 calendar day warranty unless noted by a technician. Not all used or refurbished parts are covered under warranty. We do not warranty work performed by outside contractors such as powder coating, painting, metal plating/polishing, custom electronic devices, etc. - or - if another technician from another company has tried to fix an issue of the equipment we serviced.
